The Sea and Cake track ‘Parasol’ made it into the film AND the soundtrack for ‘Remember Me’. The Chop Shop team (Twilight, Gossip Girl, The OC, etc.) put together a mid-90s and early 2000’s heavy soundtrack which features the likes of Sparklehorse, Sigur Ros, The Promise Ring, and Supergrass as well.
In uk cinema’s April 2nd, ‘Remember Me’ is the new film staring Robert Pattinson (of Twilight) and Emilie de Ravin (of Lost).
‘Parasol’ is available on The Sea and Cake’s 1995 release ‘Nassau’ which can be streamed in it’s entirety here
The Sea and Cake’s last album ‘Car Alarm’ was released in late 2008.
More recently, drummer John McEntire has been hard at work producing the upcoming Broken Social Scene album
