The list of what Dizzee Rascal has achieved in his career is quite something; a Mercury Music Prize win at the age of 18, his third critically-acclaimed album ‘Maths English’ also being nominated for the prize in 2007, getting to Number 1 with his single ‘Dance Wiv Me', the first single to reach Number 1 on an artists own independent label in 14 years and winning an NME Award for the same single this year. In short, he’s the most successful rapper the UK has ever produced.
He now returns with ‘Bonkers’, the second single on his own Dirtee Stank label which is set to feature on his forthcoming album due out in the summer.
Produced by Armand Van Helden, it’s a synth-heavy, thumping house tune that will set the charts alight.
Before the release of ‘Bonkers’, Dizzee toured throughout April supporting The Prodigy and also has the following shows scheduled:
