"Powerfully uplifting groovy pop-psych vibes…" – Guardian Guide

Following two limited-run seven inch singles, Manchester's best kept secret have finally snuck into the studio to record their debut album. Produced by Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake, 'Things That Roar' comprises twelve tracks of joyous psychedelic pop, bolstered by sun-dappled harmonies and the odd stoner-rock guitar freakout.

Formed after discovering a shared love of Todd Rundgren, The Zombies, Pavement and the Elephant 6 bands, The Beep Seals were given the Flaming Lips' seal of approval when the latter's Wayne Coyne chose their name for them.

They soon became notorious in Manchester for staging warehouse parties in which they would encourage audience members to dress in increasingly outlandish garb, all the while honing their knack for killer melodies.

So while their hometown is still caught under an Oasis-shaped raincloud, this band are a defiant ray of sunshine.

The band headline London's Hoxton Bar And Kitchen on Thursday June 26th, with support from Norman Blake.
